Founded in 1980 and now headquartered in Newport Beach, CA, SVG has grown from a regional console video game wholesaler into one of the most influential and most respected distribution service and product providers in the gaming industry today.

For over 25 years, SVG has distributed an expansive assortment of console video game products from every major vendor and serviced every major retailer.  These relationships and a commitment to an industry-leading service level enable SVG to year in and year out facilitate the needs of an ever-expanding, constantly-fluctuating-industry.

During the course of the last decade, due to the ever-increasing demands of the corporation's retail partnerships, SVG has undergone many technological upgrades in an effort to remain unmatched in its level of commitment and quality of service. To this end, SVG coordinated the relocation of its distribution headquarters to Indianapolis. This centralized location allows SVG to distribute our vendor’s products to every major retailer quickly and efficiently.

The year of 2005 was a year of change for SVG Distribution as it made the transition from privately owned to public as it was purchased by one of the world’s largest music distributors, Handleman Company.  Having been acquired by Handleman Company, SVG now has access to their guidance and resources. As a category manager, the Company manages a broad assortment of titles to optimize sales and inventory productivity in retail stores and also provides direct-to-store shipments, marketing and in-store merchandising.
